While you are in Northstar's main service, your child(ren) will have an incredible time learning about God in our Navigation Station Children's Ministry. We use the "Hillsong" curriculum for all age groups (even the babies have stories and a fun learning time) along with kids worship, illustrated sermons, crafts and games to teach them more about the Bible. We have an incredible volunteer staff that help to ensure your child(ren) have a great time in a fun, safe and secure environment.
Make sure to pick up the parent guide at our check in tables for each classroom on Sundays. This is a special tool we use to partner with families in teaching their children about their faith. With this resource parents will find out what their children are learning about in Navigation Station each week. This tool also shares with you the kid's memory verse and "tips" on creative ways you, as parents, can incorporate this lesson throughout the week at home. We believe that children are our most precious resource, and we strive to help kids and their families learn how to navigate life in Christ together.
Navigation Station offers ministries for kids from Birth-Fifth grade. Our ministries are:
Babyland: Birth-Age 1
This room is specially designed for your little ones changing developmental needs. In this classroom your kids will be in a clean, safe and fun environment filled with games and activities while you are nearby in our main auditorium enjoying the service.
We want to help develop this age group's faith and we believe that a child is never to young to grow in their faith and discover who God is.
Tyketown: 2's & 3's
Your two and three year olds will have a blast in Tyketown! They will enjoy learning about the Bible through fun stories and teaching, arts & craft time, puppet shows, kids worship music, and of course a special time where they can take a few moments to get their "wiggles" out with age specialized games and toys.
Preschool Park: 4's & 5's
Just like in our Tyketown classroom, your four and five year olds will have a great time in Preschool Park. They will enjoy learning about the Bible through fun stories and teaching, arts & craft time, puppet shows, kids worship music, and of course a special time where they can take a few moments to get their "wiggles" out with age specialized games and toys.
Kidville: Kindergarten-5th grade

- 3-5 Grade
Kids will experience a fun, high energy environment when they enter Kidville.We have two age classrooms for this age group, the K-2nd grade and 3-5th grade age groups. There will be times where our kids join together for large group activities and then break apart into our separate classrooms.
After they've enjoyed a time of welcome and some fun games we will then go into our weekly illustrated message, memory verse (they love to shout this out), and finish by breaking out into age appropriate classrooms for small groups. These small groups allow time for kids to dialogue more about the lesson of the week as well as do an activity that reinforces what they have already learned. We love to make the Bible come alive in this room; it's so exciting to see how much fun the kids have being at church every Sunday!
